Jeff & Val Sutton

Jeff and Val have been married for 36 years and have spent 27 of those years serving the Lord together, in Germany, Romania and the United States.  They co-founded Great Commandments Ministries in 1997 and started ACTS in 2004.  Jeff and Val are called to fulfill the Great Commission through the discipleship of young adults.  Most of their married life has been dedicated to this pursuit and they remain passionate in their desire to see young people grow deep roots in Christ.  Val directs the hospitality ministry at GCM, serves as a mentor to the women on our ministry team at home and abroad and disciples young women in our program.  Jeff serves as Executive Director of GCM overseeing our staff and stewarding the direction of our varied ministries under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Dan & Kristin Hayes

Dan and Kristin Hayes have been joyfully serving Christ with Great Commandments Ministries since 2004. Prior to joining the GCM staff, Dan and Kristin were discipled within a community of believers on their  college campuses. It was during these formative years that they developed a passion to follow Jesus and a love for this age group.  Together they want to see more young adults loving Jesus, studying His Word and learning how to live boldly for Him in this world. They've had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of ACTS students for over a decade now! Dan serves as the ACTS Director and oversees GCM's weekly college outreach. Kristin is the "creative genius" behind the graphic design for Great Commandments and is also engaged in discipling women alongside her own four children (Eden, Lucas, Noah, and Shepherd). The Hayes seek to pour themselves out in love; listening, counseling, exhorting and encouraging students to a deeper walk with Christ.

Anca has been connected to GCM since the first ACTS outreach in 2004 when we partnered with her home church in Iasi, Romania. She attended ACTS in 2008 where she met her husband. Together they served in Eclesia International, a GCM church plant in Romania. Anca is now serving in bookkeeping, manages the ministry staff support and assists with ACTS Essentials and Ascent Admissions.

Greg and Ruth Jochen

Greg and Ruth met while attending church in Kennewick Wa., and have been married for 34 yrs. They have six children.  Greg, with an M.Div. from Talbot Seminary and over 18 years of pastoral experience is uniquely qualified to oversee the mentoring program at ACTS Essentials and Ascent.  Greg also is responsible for stewarding the resources God has given us on our missions base as Director of Facilities and Maintenance.  His vast knowledge in most every facet of construction and landscape is an enormous blessing to both our staff and students.  Ruth has spent much of her life working with children as a school teacher and within the local church.  She assists with food service and is a mentor to young women at ACTS.  Greg and Ruth love the opportunity they have been given to help train young adults to be strong in the Lord so they can be fruitful in all circumstances and thrive wherever God places them.  Together they enjoy hiking and “adventuring” by exploring new areas.  They enjoy working and praying together.

Matt and Abby met at ACTS and were married in June of 2016. They have personally experienced the impact a season of discipleship had in their lives and now have a passion to see other young adults grow deeper and love Jesus more.  Matt serves as a Ministry Assistant to the Directors of ACTS Essentials and Ascent.  He also oversees Pneuma, our weekly ministry to young adults in our region.  Abby is administrative assistant to the ACTS Directors and mentors young women during our program sessions.  Matt and Abby have a beautiful little boy, Jacob.

becca Currans

Becca is grateful to be a part of the Lords eternal work at GCM as the Food Service Coordinator.  This unique position gives Becca the opportunity to blend her passions for creative cooking, people and Jesus!  Her experience as a cook in a boutique bed and breakfast have “garnished” her experiences from home making and raising a family.  Becca is delighted to be “gramma” of 4, and thankful her children, (2 of whom attended ACTS sessions) are raising their children to know and love Jesus.
